• ​Immediately after your dermal filler treatment, there may be a slight redness, swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation to the treated area. This is a normal response to the skin as a result of treatment and generally disappears in a few days.

​​

• Do not rub or touch the treated area until the next morning.

​

• Do not consume alcohol or do strenuous exercise or apply makeup for 24 hours after treatment.

​​

• Try to avoid lying down for the first 6 hours immediately after treatment.

​

• It is recommended not to apply any pressure to the treated areas for the first few nights (please sleep on your back if possible).

​

• For cheek fillers: It is recommended to avoid restrictive headwear, including goggles, sunglasses or motorcycle helmets for up to 4 weeks.

​

• Lip Filler: Do not smoke for at least 24 hours after having lip injections. Do not wear lipstick for 24 hours.

 

• Bioremodelling: It may take 24-48 hours for the HA to absorb under the skin.

​

• It is recommended to avoid extended exposure to sun or UV light and extended exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. This includes hot drinks immediately post your lip filler injections.

​

• Do not use AHA, Retinols, Vitamin C therapy, Glycolic, Acids, and Scrubs for 5 days after treatment.

​

• Avoid facials, facial waxing, microdermabrasion, Glycolic or AHA peels for 4 weeks after treatment.

​

• Avoid IPL, Laser, energy-based treatments, dental work, and vaccinations for 4 weeks after treatment.

​

• There will be some swelling and bruising, however, this will only be temporary. Arnica tablets or Hirudoid cream may help.

 

• You may feel lumps for up to 4-6 weeks after treatment, as your body adjusts to the new volume and softens. You do not need to massage the treated area.
   

• Please schedule a 4 week follow up appointment.

If you present with any of the below signs after your treatment, you MUST contact your nurse directly.

​

• Skin Blanching - White areas on the Skin

• Severe pain or loss of sensation

• Severe Swelling

• Severe bruising or purple discolouration
